Privacy Law for 2026: PIPA Update & Are You Compliant? (Online)
The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present Privacy Law for 2026: PIPA Update & Are You Compliant? — a 90-minute online seminar designed to provide organizations with a practical understanding of Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act 2016 (as amended, “PIPA”) and how to maintain ongoing compliance.
This session will cover the key provisions of PIPA, including restrictions and allowances for the use of personal information, as well as the administrative and procedural obligations required under the Act. Participants will also receive a comprehensive Internal Review Compliance Checklist, a valuable tool to support effective privacy governance within their organization.
An interactive discussion segment will allow attendees to raise specific compliance challenges and questions for review by the course leader. Presentation slides and the compliance checklist will be provided exclusively to registered participants.
The seminar will be led by Duncan Card, Partner and Head of the Privacy Practice at Appleby Bermuda. Duncan is widely regarded as one of Bermuda’s leading privacy law experts and is a frequent contributor to The Royal Gazette on matters relating to PIPA, technology contracts, and outsourcing transactions.Privacy Law for 2026: PIPA Update & A...Date and Time
